Happy New Year!
Happy New Year from Mary, Banjo and Fiddle.
Thank you so much for your support this past year. Especially you paid subscribers who have donated so generously. Funds go directly to AgArts, a 501 c (3), to pay the writers of this column, and to pay our Farm-to-Artist Residencies. Many of the writers we’ve published in Emerging Voices have experienced these residencies, and have returned with a whole new understanding of our eco-system. Again and again, I’ve heard them say, “This residency changed my whole life.”
We’re calling now for short columns from those of you who have created bio-sanctuaries, or shelters for animals or plants. These sanctuaries could be as small as a birdhouse to as large as a wetland. What did you create? What gave you the impetus to make your bio-sanctuary? What have you observed? What changes have you recorded? Tell us in 800 words or less. We will pay you. Imagine that.
Send your entries to: agartsoffice@gmail.com.
We’re fighting the good fight. Hang in, hang in.
